    London

"I really wanted to make a video of London while I was there earlier this year but I didn't have a camcorder, so I took pictures instead. In fact I took more then 3000 pictures and put them all together in less then 2 minutes." I'm glad he did. It reminds me of this. http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=2169237&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1London…

    Blunt

Email is such a blunt tool. According to Microsoft, 97% of all emails sent over the net are unwanted. Postini (a division of Google) puts it at 94%. Blunt. Value creation between people comes from conversing. Email is rubbish at conversation. Blunt. Value creation in business is increasingly about collaboration. Email is rubbish at collaboration.…

The winner of this month's Post of the Month is, I'm delighted to say, Jon with his post Don't Write TV Off Just Yet . After a strong initial showing from James and Asi, a late surge in support meant that Jon's post was the clear winner. Well done Jon. You get the reflected glory…

Sadly, I wasn’t able to use your nomination AdLand Suit as the post fell in April (but thanks anyway) and Kay very kindly nominated one…

    The Mobile Future

I went to the Future of Content and Creativity event at the RSA on Wednesday. Gerd Leonhard gave a great talk (I've seen him a few times before and he's always good) about content, copyright and control, including some good points on the change in thinking needed in content payment models. Also on the bill…

    Agile Advertising

"You campaign in poetry, you govern in prose"                                               Mario Cuomo There's a phrase coined by Paul Isakson that has been going round in my head since I saw it in Paul's deck on Modern Brand Building some time ago:'Stop Campaigning, Start Committing'. Paul talks about the difference between changing your core brand message…

    Going Where Your Customers Are

There's already too much written about a certain micro-blogging service. The Guardian reported on 27th March that so far that month 684 articles had appeared in national and local newspapers that included the word "twitter". This compares to 206 in January 2009, and 40 in November 2008. The irony is that these articles often seem…

    Getting Wired

Day one of the UK edition of Wired. So I bought a copy. And to be honest it was pretty good. Highlights included Russell's column ("I'd like to suggest that multitasking and distraction aren't the enemy – they're what makes us human and creative – and…we should be building software tools that distract us more,…
