Everything you ever wanted to know about women

HelpwantedWe are about to undertake a major research project into women (it’s a huge audience for us). We are just formulating our ideas for what the issues/areas are that we are potentially going to investigate – so in the spirit of open source I thought I would open it out to you guys for input.

What are the themes you would most like to explore? What are the topics that you would like to know more about? Do you want to know what bothers them? What makes them laugh? Are there specific topics (environment, childhood obesity, work/life balance)? The results will be UK focused, but in return for your input, I will share and post some of the findings from the areas you suggest in the future. Any thoughts?

What defines a woman in contemporary society?
Money, job, husband, family, freedom, restrictions, opportunities and ambitions.

Neil – I’d love to help. I think Charles’s question is a great starting point. Women can no longer be segmented by way of the traditional demographics – it will be more about roles and lifestages (mom, career woman, church volunteer) than age, income or geographic location.
I’ll check back to see what other good questions your readers come up with. It is great to have men discussing this (and rare) – I’ll likely post on whatever bubbles up here myself.

I’ve Just checked out Andrea’s excellent blog and it’s clearly time to prune my RSS feeds and get some more thinking female blogging voices in my daily routine.
One more question. What sucks about being third millennium woman compared to say their mothers generation?
