I saw a presentation recently from Bill Tancer, who runs global research at Hitwise. Bill (who was very engaging) touched on something which I thought was fascinating (and to be honest, quite unexpected) when talking about Wikipedia. It seems that there is quite an imbalance in the age demographic of those who view Wikipedia and those who edit and contribute content. What is clearly going on here is that through the medium of the web, the old are educating the young. How marvellous is that?
