Music Pieces

Tickled me this one. If you haven’t seen Fallon’s new work for Sony Walkman watch this teaser first:

Then watch the finished product.

"‘Music Pieces’ brings a musical experience like no other…by taking an original piece of music composed by Hollywood
music director Peter Raeburn and deconstructing
it to give 128 musicians just one note each to play in order to
reconstruct the melody."

Or so goes the blurb. Love the slight, almost involuntary, mexican wave of the guitars:

Fallon did it again. I’m so impressed. Sony is being pulled out of the sea of sameness with some super great branding work. Seriously. I’m speechless. I love it.
I love that planners and ad people get all warm inside when they see awesome work. This spot made my day. Thanks for setting it up like that too. It’s crucial to the appreciation factor to know that each musician only gets one note to play.
    Awesome.
