Ever had one of those days where somehow your attention is a bit all over the place? Yesterday I managed to leave my book on the train, my watch at work, my gym kit in a taxi, and my brain at home. I’m not sure why this happened. It was a busy day but that’s no excuse. Nevermind. Last night I went down the pub and had a kiwi burger and large glass of red so life ain’t all bad ;o).

i have this experience all the time. Distracted. Aren’t we all suffereing from CPA( continuous partial attention).
for the past two days have been trying to put togther a report and i must confess am on an auto pilot mode of distraction…
there is a deep rooted urge to check the mail every half hour(sooner), to skim through a blog post, to pick up a magazine lying in the cubicle…
my attention span has dramatically dwindled over the last few years…
the fragmented media landscape has fragmented our attention spans…is it beyond self-repair is the question:-)
there is a Hindi word called ‘saadhna'(self-discipline when loosely translated) which the ancient sages practiced in order to discipline themselves when they meditated…
I guess we all need to do ‘saadhna’ to stay sane and less ‘distracted’ LOL -
