Old Films, New Take

There's a new exhibition just opened at the Cosh Gallery in London (the Flickr set is here, Wallpaper writes about it here) that has challenged a range of artists and designers (Hellovon, Nathan Fox, Marian Bantjes) to create a new take on posters for some of their favourite films. It's an interesting exercise since in the process of reinterpreting they have brought different persectives to some of the most classic and well-known films of all time (including Clockwork Orange, Planet of The Apes, Rear Window), being less constrained by the commercial requirements of having to sell a film few are familiar with, and so we have arrived at something totally different but somehow connected to the original. Intriguing  idea. Here's some of my favourites.

Kind of gets you thinking – what film would you like to have a go at?

    What a cool exhibition.
As for what I’d have a go at, it’d have to be Anchorman – the possibilities are endless.

Good choice Matt. I can see you could have fun with that.
