Cripes. According to a survey by YouGov (commissioned by the Hotel group Ramada Encore of all people) these are the most hated 'business-speak' phrases in the UK. And I've just realised I've used at least four of them in the past week. What I need is some pro-active, out-of-the-box 360 blue-sky thinking if I'm going to get my ducks in a row, push that envelope and stop sounding like a complete tit.

My pet peeve is number 3, I avoid it at all costs, for some reason – I think mostly my previous used it all the time and it annoyed me no end.
But there are a few others I probably use too often… Last week, we came up with ‘gamestorming’, another interesting and silly mashup! I’d never heard of ducks in a row though – I’ll have to try to place it ;o)

Apparently ‘Brainstorming’ is banned from many work places, not because it’s annoying but because it’s politically incorrect!
I believe this is due to mental conditions where there is literally an electrical storm in your brain.
The best alternative I heard was ‘Thought Disco’! Maybe one for next years list…
Am sure with a little thought you can make any of those politically incorrect…

The one that gets me is when people say they need an ad that ‘lands’ an idea. Must be a pretty unwieldy idea if it needs bringing in like a 747.
