Re: Selling Out

Good catch by PSFK, who highlighted this video by You Tube blogger Kristina Horner who posted in response to some criticism about approaches by brands to bloggers. Kristina, who did some stuff as part of the Ford Fiesta Movement, is eloquent in her defence and makes a clear point:- the approach felt right because it was made clear that "our success is their success". A must watch for any brand who wants to work with bloggers.

    There’s a nice chapter in Hugh’s book Ignore Everybody which talks about how difficult it is to sell out. recommended.

    by the way, how come ads are showing in the video – you don’t have adsense do you? It was my understanding these ads on youtube vids should only display if the blogger/host is an adsense user. Whatever the case, it reveals how piss poor the ‘targeting’ is. Just cos your blog is called only dead fish, the video is interrupted with lots of ads for fish supplies. Oh dear oh dear
