YouTube are running an event called Think Video 12th May in London (disclosure: YouTube are a client of mine) looking at the ever-changing and rapidly developing video-on-demand market. There will be some independent perspectives (including one from me) plus some insights from YouTube themselves. It's a hugely dynamic market but with some forecasters predicting that 90% of
all consumer IP traffic will be video based by 2013, a hugely important
one too. For me, some of the most fascinating questions are around the implications of dual (and triple with mobile) screen consumption, the increasing socialisation of video content and the blurring or convergence (whichever way you want to think of it) between the different platforms for consuming it. Plenty there to get my teeth into and plenty to create a lively and interesting event. YouTube have kindly allowed me to put the link for the evnt up here so that readers of this blog can register – if you're interested in attending, you can do just that here. Hope to see you there.
UPDATE: the allocation of slots has now been filled so no more now available I'm afraid.
