I don't make a habit of asking for anything on this blog but I'm making an exception for something exceptional. In less than two weeks time I shall be running the Virgin London Marathon for the PSP Association, a small, little-known charity that does amazing work with the sufferers of Progressive SupraNuclear Palsy – a degenerative disease for which there is no cure. I have a good friend, Kate, whose Father is gravely ill with the disease.

I'm not a natural runner so this is no small thing for me, and whilst this will be the second 26-miler I've done, I have a feeling it will be my last. So please, I'm asking you to spare whatever you can to support me by going here. It is a good thing you'll be doing. Thank you.

    Well done for this Neil.
I’ve ran 1 marathon, fully enjoyed it but I haven’t felt the urge to do another full marathon.
That said – I’ve ran a few half marathons since and really really enjoy these. I’ve found that for a full marathon you need to organise your life around the training, whereas for a half marathon you can organise the training around your life. It just makes it that little bit easier to train when you’re a busy chap.
    Good luck!
