I'm still reeling from the experience of running the London Marathon yesterday. I'll not bore you with the detail but to paraphrase something Tom said, all the willpower/goodwill/support and
general humanity on display was truly humbling. I want to say a few thanks: to the girl outside the pub at mile 5 who offered me a pint of lager (I
thought better of it); to the guy dressed as a giant cornetto who overtook me at 8 miles (shaming me into upping the pace a bit); to the scottish bloke at about 20 miles who yelled the loudest 'C'mon Neil' of the whole race when I was at my lowest ebb; and to my girls who were there for me at 25 miles, and waiting for me at the end. And of-course, I want to say a very public thanks to everyone who offered me their best wishes, congratulations, advice, and their generosity in sponsoring me for an amazing cause. Thank you.
