I promised I'd share the results of the quick poll on how you use Twitter favourites so here they are (click image to enlarge). A clear preference (61%) it seems for people using it for bookmarking/read-it-later, with a minority (30%) doing that and also using it to also give a Twitter 'Like' to something, but very few (7%) doing just the latter. There were some interesting comments (both here and on Twitter) about how people use them in their reading/sharing routines, including using IFTT to funnel favourited content through to Pocket or Instapaper which makes sense. Missed the voting, but I’m definitely in the ‘bookmarking stuff for later’ camp, although I used to take the RSS feed into Google Reader until it appears to have stopped functioning 🙁

If I’ll vote, I’ll answer BOTH. But, I’ll prefer to really use Twitter’s Favorite button as a like. I really love it whenever I look back on the tweets I marked as favorite. I just wonder which covers the “Others” vote. Hmm. Is that the usage of Pocket and Instapaper?
