Post Of The Month – February 2013 – Nominations

ThinktankPOTM1
It's time to nominate the best posts that you've read in the past month for Post Of The Month. If you read a post in February that you thought was particularly great, please leave the link in the comments. I've put up a starting list below, and once I have a few more I'll stick them up for a vote. I've had a few nominations sent to me already so including them, my starting five are:

Big Data – The Comedic Empty Vessel and Animal Spirits by Mark Hancock

A Tale Of Humility and Indifference by Martin Weigel

Keynesian Marketing and the Business of Confidence from Richard Huntingdon

On Writing Post-Fatherhood by Austin Kleon

We've Had The Speaker Pledge, What ABout The Attendee Pledge? from Will Roissetter

And you can nominate your own favourites below.

I nominate James Caig’s post ‘The Bottom Half of Culture’, a write-up about The Story 2013. I thought it was beautifully written. http://seewhathappensblog.com/2013/02/25/the-bottom-half-of-culture/

This, from Helen Edwards. Not to reopen the deathly debate about whether ‘blogging is killing planning’. But is IS a timely reminder that for the most part, we’re surrounded by pub bores. Moreover it is a wonderful example of what lucid, concise, elegant writing looks like, when the internet seems to serve as an excuse to slap down half-baked prose:

Gosh – thank you Neil – great to be in such esteemed company. Problem is the other posts – erm… they’re too good. In future could we not set an age limit for some of the others – something like age 11 would suffice? Ta.
