This Week’s Favourite Fraggl Links

I thought it would be fun to each week (at the end of the week) post up a few links that have beeen curated by Fraggl and that I particularly enjoyed or found useful (kind of like a punchy version of the Swissmiss Friday link pack which I love). I don't want to detract from the value of what Fraggl is doing (each daily email contains ten links so you really need to sign up) but I do want to find a useful way to remind people that it's there and preview some of the type of content that the combination of human and algorithmic curation is surfacing. So here are my favourite links from Fraggl from this week:

• Dan Calladine's excellent collection of 10 Trends for 2014 which is well worth checking out
• "We are taught that our own creativity will be celebrated as well, and that if we have good ideas, we will succeed…It’s all a lie." A controversial but interesting point about why, despite the noise to the contrary, people are biased against creative thinking. 
• "That may be the ultimate tragedy of capitalism in our time, that it has achieved its dominance without regard to a social compact, without being connected to any other metric for human progress". A searing indictment of modern capitalism from David Simon, creator of The Wire.
• I really liked some of the lessons contained in this Postmortem of a Venture Backed Startup.
• Some good data here from GlobalWebIndex on whether Facebook really is losing teens
